Lisbon Private Tram: Your Own Vintage Carriage Through the Old City
Lisbon's trams are part of the city's identity. On a private tram, you experience that history without sharing the carriage with anyone outside your group.
Why private makes the difference
Public trams in the historic centre are often full. On a private ride everyone in your group has a seat, the guide speaks to you alone and the atmosphere belongs to your group.
Where the tram goes
We board in Estrela, where starting is easy and free of traffic, and ride towards Chiado and the Baixa old town. From there the tram climbs into Alfama, pauses by the Portas do Sol viewpoint, crosses Martim Moniz and ends near Rossio, in the heart of central Lisbon. Along the way your English-speaking host shares live commentary on everything you see.
The tram runs on rails, so the itinerary is sometimes adjusted to road conditions and traffic. We can never guarantee a specific route, although it typically includes the places mentioned above.
What is included
Your own private vintage tram, exclusively for your group. English-speaking private guide on board. Route through Lisbon's most famous historic districts. Flexible start time, every day of the year. The ride lasts about 1 hour.
